The Beach Boys

Don't Worry Baby***For my two cents, it's the best cut they have. Well, it's summer anyway & this song is an endless timeless tune.

I've never heard a woman say that to me; Brian is The Beach Boys & Carl & Dennis are part of the heart.

It's not too surprising that bands don't seem to be able or willing to compose work of this caliber.

So here we are in the 21st century & someone just isn't getting it. I guess I'm not alone in this synopsis; But What Do I Know Anyway...*

The Grass Roots

Feelings***Is a fantastic tune right down to the vibraphones & fuzz guitar. This area of sonic-sounds isn't retro, it's more like timeless. Perhaps it's a sign of the times; Then & now.

The video excursion dialogue was a clip from a movie back in the day; Ignore it unless you're into Doris Day.

The atmosphere here is genuine; You'd have to be there at the time...The feelings are real. But What Do I Know anyway...*

Missing You

Missing You***A transcendent song; From the composition side to the voice. The lyrics knock me off my chair. Perhaps for some, the music hits the mark.

Spritual High

Moodswings ft Chrissie Hynde*** The beginning of this song, minus percussion is rather ethereal & transcendent. From a Visual standpoint, the atmosphere & FX are beautific.

Ms. Hynde's voice is wonderful & adroit in spirit, lyrically sublime. It is the beginning of this audio-vision, that knocks my socks off.

"Sounds like a signal from you, bring me to meet your sound & I will bring you to my heart...;

Love like a signal, you call...touching my body, my soul...bring to me, you to meet me here"...*

Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon

I was alwyas into Neil Diamond when I was a teenager. I don't really know why, other than some of his songs are magnificent. This tune for my two cents, is about the best.

Rooster***I hate war. It's the art of destruction. This is a heavy song & video ; If it's your cup of green tea. Namaste...

Radiohead

High & Dry***Man, this is a wonderful song. Mr. Yorke & company, really hit the spot on this cut.

I find it to be a heart-string puller. Something about it's character & emotional impact. Pure melodic content; Lyrics & otherwise...*

The Cowsills

The Rain, the Park & Other Things***So you think I'm off my rocker. Perhaps too much bubblegum, nostalgia & narcotics.

The T.V. series with Mr. Cassidy...was fake. These guys are real. Where do you think they got the T.V. idea in the first place.

This song is pure timeless popcandy...What a trip...*

Stone Temple Pilots

Plush***STP has a brilliant sheen to this cut. Mr.Weiland has a great voice. The brothers Deleo & Mr. Kretz have something that doesn't come along too often these days. Melodic music with power. Forget the lyrics. Everyone has a different lead on lyrical meaning. Which is a good reason to enjoy the art of audio, versus say...films. Ah, but I wander.

When I first heard this song, it hit me right away. Because there's a melancholy beauty, that sits along side of the sonic-impact. Perhaps it's the major 7th hiding within the 2 bars chord pattern of the hook.

Lest I segue into the subjective vision of the video; It reminds me of LSD & a tad too much drink. But What Do I Know Anyway...*

SchoolBoy Crush

***Average White Band...Great lyrical vox.In the pocket. Old School...Funk.

Many a time I can remember this state of mind. As a child, a teen & as an adult. Somehow it was always some kind of puzzle that I had to figure out. But, it was all in my mind.

The bottom line ; Be prepared to be kicked to the curb. Again & again.

Julian Lennon

Stick Around***Tis a great song; A composer of poignant paints of audio. An enigma who defies labels. Melodically fluid in arrangements. The music speaks for itself...Discover.

Bill Nelson

Flaming Desire*** Circa early eighties, black & white; Mr. Nelson's body of work is prolific to say the least. This clip gives a nod to Jean Cocteau; Be it Be-Bop-Deluxe, or solo works, Mr. Nelson is as eclectic as he enigmatic.
