Nothing's Ever Gonna Change So Fast

Dwight has an uncanny ability to dose his melodious works of musical art, into pretty much every song he works...;

This music has a lot of really delicious ear candy, that would melt a lot of people away...Like hundreds of millions... ; It's so moody & atmospheric...But What Do I Know Anyway...*

Big Louise

Scott Walker***How is it that every time I go fishing for another Scott Walker song...It's always so brilliant...*

The Voice, The Arrangements, The Chord Progressions, The Unique, The Enigmatic, The Eclectic... ; It just goes on & on. Is it me ? or is anyone else hearing these works of sonic art...*

Looking For The Magic

Dwight Twilley***With a splash of help from Phil Seymour & Tom Petty. It's quite obvious to me that the times in which Twilley & Seymour for that matter; Were pre-computer, with about 36 or so major & major offshoots at the time. From a business standpoint, read the legalities that plagued Dwight. It is this scenario which is the pseudo wall, that came crumbling down to the present 4 to 3 "major" entities left standing.

Dwight Twilley's music is phenomenal. An embodiment of Pure Power Pop, is where my interest sits. The other elements of Rock & Roll & Rockabilly; For that matter Tulsa as a music hub ltself : This is where things could get a bit mixed up. I Love Power Pop. They used to call it Rock/Pop...

This song by God, is great. But What Do I Know Anyway...*

Out of my hands

Dwight Twilley***Is over the top, where I had yet to gaze. Another prime example of What Is New Is Old...What Is Old Is Strikingly New.

This song puts me in a boat with Dwight & other people who have felt this way. You love... you lose. It's not in our own hands to decide. No need to speak much more, lest my right arm starts to melt onto the keyboard, along with the rest of my feelings...*

All I Wanna Do

The Beach Boys from the album Sunflower*** I have to admit that upon listening to this cut, I am amazed as to its' almost near proximity from a vocal standpoint, to anything vaguely reminding me of The Beatles.

A tip of the hat to Mike Love. I never thought much of him musically until now. Nice vocal Sir...*

In My Room

The Beach Boys*** the vocal layers of harmony are virtually untouchable; Save The Beatles.

Brian's falsetto is the best Caucasian falsetto I've ever heard. Yet, it is the compositional structure of Brian Wilson's songs, that overpowers the whole deal. Godspeed Sirs...*

Wear Your Love Like Heaven

Donovan***A true poet at heart ; applying the musical atmosphere was quite touching. This Scotsman cannot ever been replicated...*

Yellow Pills

20/20*** were super hot in Los Angeles back in the day.; I saw them many times & as my memory serves me right, their first album produced by Earl Mankey & the band was phenomenal...

Some 30 years later ; As the 4 soon to be three "major" labels walls come crumbling down ; Thanks for the tech revolution. Where are my Valiums...*

My Death

Scott Walker***This version has a different atmosphere obviously, not to mention the variations between David Bowie & Mr. Walker.

To me, I'd have to say that I perceive Scott as having a profound impact on David. What do you think ...*

David Bowie ft. Mike Garson - My Death (Live)

***Since I've begun raining Scott Walker on you, This song is written by Scott Walker. Let's have a taste of Mr. Bowies' version ; Then the next post, have a listen to Scott Walkers version.

Mr. Walkers version, is visually like a bit of a film from The Jetsons' era, post war America. Both versions are simply superb ; I have for the first time, I now see, who is obviously one of Davids'
deepest influences...mind blower...*

Montague Terrace (in blue)

Scott Walker***This man is unbelievable. I've come across something/someone whom I can't even compare to anyone I've ever heard. He is truly brilliant & I've just started scratching the surface.

Easily from what little I have gathered, post Walker Brothers, Scott put out 4 solo albums. Some have said it messed up his career. Oh Ka Ka. The guy is genius. Now I now how they could hyperbole The Walker Brothers in the U.K. to be bigger than the Stones or Beatles in fan base.

By Christ, that is sure a lot of cats around all over the place. Until further fatigued, I will continue my quest into the art of Scott Walker: The 30th century musician-artist. That's more than my two cents...*

Let Her Dance

Phil Seymour***Another tune from my latest infatuation-25yrs] A nice cut & a good parallel to my personal life. After a quarter of a century, I made a weak attempt to contact an old girlfriend.

Well...all I can say is that I thought that true-blue friendship could last forever. I guess I was wrong. I suppose to some women, I'm a downright curse...But What Do I Know Anyway...*

Precious To Me

Phil Seymour***After looking around for a song off of the 2nd album entitled " Talk To Me" ; We'll go with this one for now.

Another fine example of the vocal abilities-[Phil was actually a drummer-]. there is that twinge of Tulsa on this one & it's all the same a great tune. Godspeed Sir...*

I Really Love You

Phil Seymour*** A wonderful, beautiful time-less song. Knowing of your 9 yr. fight with lymphoma; Links us all the more...

It's about time they put the music back onto the airwaves & star-waves.

I can see you coming up the highway as the brightest light in the sky-[planet Venus]-& the comet that streaked almost right over my head in the summer of 93...We love you Phil & we miss you. God bless you sir...*

Farewell My Friend

Dennis Wilson***You take the high road & I'll take the low road & we'll see you again, my beautiful friend...

Gods' power of Love is the strongest power in the cosmos. Eternal, Immortal , like us...*
