I Feel Love

Donna Summer*** Thanks to Georgio Morador who was the producer, I can honestly say this is a fine tune.

Not being a fan per se' of Disco,House,Trance,Techno etc. , well to each his own. This song is certainly hypnotic & melodic. So a tip of the hat to Ms. Summer...*

Teena Marie

Lovergirl***Is just simply a great song & for my two cents, I think it's one of her best compositions period.

This song is timeless. So it matters not if you view the cut back in the day, or in the present moment.

I find Ms. Marie to be a very magnetic artist. She's sexy for sure & her talent overloads the senses...*

Got To Be Real

Cheryl Lynn***This song is too sweet, especially the vocal. I'm not sure about Cheryl's career at the moment, because I honestly have not done my homework.

I'll always be mighty fond of this cut however. Her Vox is so inspired. If this cut does not get your ass moving, then you have no ability to dance or sway to the sound.

But What Do I Know Anyway...*

Slow Dancin'

With Chaka Chan***I came upon this tune, not having heard it before. It has that trademark sound Of Mr. James & who better to share the lead vox than Ms. Chan. A win/win situation from a musical standpoint. With much love forever & always...

Godspeed Rick...*

I keep Forgetting

Michael McDonald***I first saw him at the Forum in Los Angeles, with The Doobie brothers ; Ended up liking his material even more. Saw him at The Strand In Redondo Beach, CA. solo.

Endless natural talent & an enigmatic soul. When God made this gentleman, there was only one of a kind. I feel a connection at times, that his life experiences in love & war, leave us something in common. Isn't that one of the fine unique qualities of the medium...

Godspeed Sir...*

Ryuichi Sakamoto

Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence***From the film of the same name.

This song is a jewel. It's hard for me to remain objective about this music, because it mirrors my own life & when I hear it, my eyes begin to turn to water.

From the band called Yellow Magic Orchestra at one point ; This gentleman is a huge & mysterious talent. Have a listen to the song & draw your own conclusions...*

This Is Love

George Harrison***My God. What a man. What a soul. Onwards we all go, to the next destination ; On an endless journey to infinity. We are all Immortal. We are spirit & soul. The eternal. The beautiful. The endless. Children of God, in space & time.

George said we are not just this old bag of bones. Yes, we are spirit experiencing a material existence. Time can go in the wink of a second in this world.

"Cloud 9 " is a fine album indeed. Check it out...*

I'm All Right

Kenny Loggins***Is about as close to American country & western music , that I can listen to.

In all fairness to Mr. Loggins, his ability to hybrid other genre types of music like Rock, Pop & so on...are quite adroit...But What Do I Know Anyway...*

Peter Frampton

Something's Happening***Around 1975 or so, we went to see Mr. Frampton live in concert at the Forum in Los Angeles.

I've seen a good few concerts from Mr. McCartney to Pink Floyd; The Ohio Players to Mr. MacManus...& so on...

I've never seen or heard a better concert than Peter Frampton. Ever. Hands down. I guess you had to be there. But What Do I Know Anyway....*

Silent Lucidity

Queensryche***A great tune, for my two cents, their best song to date. Melodic without being wimpy ; Cerebral without being pretentious...*

Shine On You Crazy Diamond

Pink Floyd***Dark Side Of The Moon, is a wonderful album. In my top 10 for sure. I've seen them live & they sounded exceptional.

This tune is after the above album mentioned...& continues on it's fine course...*

Lady Picture Show

Stone Temple Pilots***A fine tuned bit of art.Shows the musical diversity of S.T.P. ; That's my two cents. Wish the video was in color instead of B & W...*

Julia Fordham

Happy Ever After***My X-wife used to really like this song for some reason. Julia does have a very nice low tenor voice.

The atmosphere of the song to me from a subjective stand point, is very melancholy, which is probably why I don't listen to the tune very often.

Alas...But What Do I Know Anyway...*

Wicked Game

Chris Isaak***Well...Let's say a bar each of (Bm-A-E) really does the trick. In normal talk, that means it's a nice chord pattern.

More so...The reverb on the guitar is deep like the ocean blue. In normal speak, that would be saying the echo is turned way up high, which is beautiful. This sound essence is what keeps alive
surf music as a viable genre. That's only my two cents.

The reason the video is without the voice, is...to me the song is fine without the vox. Nothing to Mr. Isaak. He's got a great voice somewhere in between Elvis & Roy Orbison.

I love reverb...deep & strong. It's enchanting & an element I like to utilize constantly in my composing & recording.

Alas...But What Do I Know Anyway...*

Tuesday Afternoon

The Moody Blues***Sometimes overlooked, one could not find many bands today that create & compose music as these guys do. A prolific body of work to say the least.

Godspeed Sirs...*

Mr. Squire

Rock Me Tonight***Mr. Squire always has had something going for him & his music is timeless. Take note young men...*

Soundgarden

Black Hole Sun***There were really a few great bands that did come out of Washington state. Not always recognized as much as some others, but then again, it's my two cents.

These gentleman & Chris Cornell in particular from a vocal angle, are beyond comparison.

But What Do I Know Anyway...*
