The Rascals

The Rascals***I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore...; This particular cut took me to a place that I've been to a time or two. So, what's the answer ? That's the problem. When faced with one or the other, it's time for you to pick.

A great topic for modern music or whatever you want to label it. These Americans from New Jersey, sure do a number on this cut...*

Rollins Band

Disconnect***Beyond words, beyond thoughts, in other worlds of the mind of Mr. Rollins. Be it cross-hybrid mixes of sonic-visual, free form word play,writer...phenomenon, a Juggernaut of fine power & realization in it's own unique form.

I like Mr. Rollins books the best; Until I keep discovering new jams one after another. It grows on & up & beyond words...*

Walk Away

Joe Walsh***A man who walks his own road, is a man I can admire. If within that road, some may be able to find the irony or humor even, whilst caught in a vast minefield, of everything is fair in love & war...well that's something else.

Besides the fact that few people play a Les Paul, in his own particular fashion; Whilst crooning away as leisure & artfully unique, one might find the ice at the tip of the iceberg. Does he have an auto-biography ? That sure would be wonderful...Godspeed Sir...*

Because Of You

Bill Nelson***There is such a plethora of musical composition & performance, that one would perceive, a discography may be the trail of attention to those that would be interested.

Needless to say, I shall park my bike at the curb for now & display a few of this man's magnificence; Surely to baffle & more so to entertain. Other than the four fellows from across the pond, I cannot think of any that have more admiration than Mr. Nelson. Godspeed Sir...*

Banal

Banal*** An oximorone far from that point of mediocrity...Quite the opposite in time through the years, a paradox of a juggernaut artiste`has melded itself to my DreamPark lit mind.

This fellow is pure art within his endeavors & surely bangs to the beat of his own vision. I just cannot get enough of him through the early Be Bop Deluxe manifestations to his overwhelming body of solo work. What A guy, what a talent...; Pure talent. Godspeed Sir...*

It Takes A Thief

When I was a teen, there would be a great opening sequence to a song I'd heard, but wasn't permitted to stay up late on Thursday, cause school was on Friday ; One time I tapped the piece on a cassette recorder & up until now I'd never heard it played again.

Thanks You-Tube...; It was the opening chord structure of B-minor to E-major, each a bar long...In non music talk, that means that I'm in love with minor to major &/or visa-versa chord structures.

So I'm real jazzed at finding this piece, with a shot of Tokyo at night...*
